3D Pens
Imagine a classroom where students get to bring lessons to life through 3D creative arts. My
classroom is a choice-based environment. The students are given instruction on a topic and are then
able to explore that concept in their own creative way. The goal of this grant is to get a new
technology into the art classroom and maker space area of the library that will show students
advances that are going to affect their lives in the future and allow them to creatively explore and
solve problems in a new and unique way. Having this technology in the classroom is an excellent way
to give students the opportunity to do this. As students move through the creative process, the 3D
printing pens will offer another tool to assist them in exploring ways that artists and engineers are
currently using technology to develop new and exciting concepts.
